Billing Policy
Elanora Heights Medical Practice is a mixed billing clinic. We are committed to providing high-quality medical care while ensuring our services remain accessible. All doctors consulting at our practice are independent GPs, and billing decisions are determined individually by each GP.
Bulk Billing
Some patients or services may be bulk billed at the discretion of the treating GP. This may include:
- Children under the age of 5
- Pensioner Concession Card holders
- Health Care Card holders
- Chronic disease management services
- Other consultations as determined by the GP
Bulk billing availability may vary between GPs.
Private Billing
If your consultation is privately billed:
- Payment is required on the day of the appointment.
- Medicare rebates can be processed electronically at the time of payment.
- A gap fee will apply, depending on consultation length and type.
Procedures, After-Hours & Additional Fees
Some services may attract additional fees, including:
- Minor procedures
- Dressings and consumables
- Non-Medicare funded vaccines
- Medical reports, forms, and letters
Where possible, you will be informed of any additional charges before the service.
Missed Appointment / Late Cancellation Fee
A fee may apply for missed appointments or cancellations made without sufficient notice. This fee is not refundable and cannot be claimed through Medicare.
Billing Enquiries
Because each GP is an independent practitioner, fee structures may vary. For any questions regarding fees for your appointment, please speak with your GP or contact our reception team.
