Happy International Nurses Day and a warm welcome to our new Practice Nurse, Kathleen Chapman!

Wishing nurses around the world our heartfelt thanks for your invaluable contribution to keeping us all healthy and happy.  Today we mark the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Practice Nurse, Kathleen Chapman, RN, RSCN, BSc(Combined Sciences), CAFHN.  Kathleen has a wealth of experience in both nursing and lactation consultancy.  She trained and worked as a nurse in the UK before moving to Bermuda where she continued nursing and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  Since moving to Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches in 2005, Kathleen has worked as the Nurse Unit Manager for the paediatric departments in both Mona Vale and Royal North Shore Hospitals, as well as being the NSW Manager for the Essentials of Care Program.  We feel very lucky to have Kathleen join our growing team, serving our local community.

We will very soon be starting a Child Health Clinic and an Asthma Clinic which Kathleen will be taking a central role in – watch this space for more information…
